The VIN number alone may not be enough because there is also a condition:
e2 * 2007 / 46 * 0601 * 07 - e2 * 2007 / 46 * 0601 * 09
e2 * 2007 / 46 * 0601 * 11 - e2 * 2007 / 46 * 0601 * 17
Generally they do this: To resolve this issue, we will either re-install the BMS (battery management system) software or replace the high-voltage battery (depending on the type of fault identified).

If they’re changing the TBMU software, I’d skip this recall. This is a potential problem for the future because it reduces the traction battery voltage tolerance. This results in an electric drive failure, and only replacing the traction battery with a new one solves the problem.
