Why would you want to save battery for when you come home?
You should click “Yes” if you want do use all available battery during the journey (depending of length of course).
By using the navigator in Hybrid or comfort mode our car “optimized” the battery usage to last the entire trip.
I’m just wondering whats the best way to optimise battery /fuel usage ?
is it worth using the sat nav to for such short journeys ect ?
If you have more battery than distance, all you need to do is using Electric mode.
No need to activate navi for that purpose.
Only when distance exceeds battery it could be beneficial to do so.
Full electric or hybrid for these sort of journeys ?
I’m sort of in a bit of a dilemma.
if I opt to use full electric or even hybrid mode for these short journeys, the car dont use the ICE, so I then find myself, such as I am right now that the car is defaulting to use the ICE because it hasn’t been used enough !
So at the moment when I start the car it is almost immediately switching to the ICE and hardly using any hybrid battery.
So let it.
Daft question, but when does the car decide to swap back to using hybrid.
Is it based on mileage, or something else ?
I think he will switch to hybrid if the battery is empty…
