With just 112 registrations in the first six months of the year, I wonder if the DS brand really has a future in the UK or if it could go the way of Lancia?
And where did DS go wrong where other spin-off brands such a Cupra have been such a success?
Cupra may have achieved success, but SEAT lost a lot because of it.
DS is set to become part of CitroĆ«n soon, so maybe it wonāt be that bad.

Yep. At least, that is how it has been described online for the past year or two.

The sales department at my local dealership told me last year they would probably be going due to poor sales.
I think DS UK gave them 12 months to turn things around.
If DS were an independent brand, I probably never would have bought the DS4. But since DS is based on PSA technology, I did. I have a long-standing connection with PSA.
It was a big error for Stellantis to separate DS from Citroƫn, they should have kept it like Toyota and Lexus. Just as a luxury up market version.
In general Citroƫn cars are more utilitarian looking than DS, so how will the future cars look if they were to rejoin, DS more boxy or Citroƫn more stylish? Or will DS just be a level of trim?
Only time will tell, then you have the Italian brands.
