Hi all, my Ds7 crossback has scratches on the interior hard plastics, goodness knows how the previous owner has created them as it’s everywhere, I would say they’ve managed to mark every surface, even obscure places with something! So, can anyone recommend a product you’ve tried that works in masking or removing them? Thanks.
Minor scratches can be removed by hand polishing.
Hi Andrew, the surfaces are textured so polishing would flatten the scratches and change the surfaces. Where the scratches have occurred they’ve left a lighter mark on the dark background. Is there a product that would darken the scratches so they become harder to see?
Is it the textured “fake leather look” plastic, if so I’ve managed to “hide” scuffs & scratches with products such as Back To Black, basically a silicon type product.
The scratch is still there as you’ve not physically tried to polish it out ( I know you cant anyway on this type of surface), but using something like above it tends to mask the scratch/scuff into the surface leaving it almost invisible to anyone who doesnt know its there.
Even if the scratch is too deep, you might might still be able to darken it with the same product.
Dont just apply it to the scratch though, apply it to the whole area.
Thats exactly what it loks like jactac, thanks I will give it a go. Even if it only lasts a while I could live with that. Prefer if someone has tried and found a solution. Cheers
Yes, it exists. It’s a plastic restorer.
