Replaced battery in the key fob but message remains
Checked manual - says to reset the remote control - but does not say how!!
Looked on line - nothing very clear
Hoping somebody on here can advise.

Found method to reinitialise but message still appears.
Went into display - just shows message with no way to remove the message.
Help still needed

I had an issue like this on a previous car - turned out to be I was using poor quality, but new, batteries (probably some I found in a drawer). Swapped to a known quality brand, and it was fine.
I change my key fob battery on the DS4, but can’t remember if I had to follow the initialisation process (described in manual)
If you encounter a problem, try holding the key against the antenna on the steering column for a few seconds while the ignition is on. Another option is to hold the key against the steering column first and then switch on the ignition.
Key works fine, just the message appears every time start the car. Will try a fresh newly purchased battery first.
Did try method of removing battery then holding down a button to drain everything (as suggested by some on the net) - no change
Thanks Andrew for suggestion - assume need both keys for your suggestion, good one in the ignition and the problem key against the ignition column antenna - no idea what this is - could you please advise what I am looking for
