Spoticar

Hi everyone, I took out an extended Spoticar warranty with mot insurance cover as I am assured the engine and gearbox are covered provided correct service is adhered to. The car dealer also gave free mot for life. The mot is due next month. Has anyone had any experience with spoticar and mot cover? Is it really worth using the dealer for the mot? Do they try to recoup costs from you somehow, is there anything to be wary of, do they say wear and tear not covered etc? Or do they do a great job? I have a booklet but it is keen to say what isn’t covered leaving the rest in a grey area. Thanks.

I’ve used Spoticar recently for the door handles, and they were great. No quibbles, and the invoice went to the insurance.
Need to go to a DS dealer though, rather than Citroën, which can be a bit out of the way.

Sorry, I don’t have the MOT option. If it’s free then maybe it’s good, but be aware of any minor faults being pushed for early correction (eg wear on brakes or tires).

Thanks for the info MrDavid73, I’m having the car motd next week so that may be the warranty test should anything be wrong. I accept that perishable wear n tear stuff like wipers, brake pads/discs and tyres aren’t covered. I know mine are all good, just the bit concerning suspension bushes or links, shocks, arms etc may be interpreted as wear n tear by them as there is no list for me to refer to. Plenty info on what’s not covered but not much on what is!
