Hello all, maybe someone can point me into right direction. My alarm started to randomly go off but it only sounds the siren without flashing indicators. It’s very inconsistent, sometimes it triggers after an hour, sometimes after 6 hours. I’ve charged the main battery and did BSI reset but it did not help. Anyone had similar issue? Very recently I also had an instance when after opening the door I could hear a locking sound multiple times like the central locking system tried to lock the car itself but I’m not sure if these 2 issues could be connected…
When I was looking into buying a DS4, I researched a few online sites, I did come across a number of owners that were reporting false alarms going off.
If I recall they were older models 2021 -2022 I think.
I would think the two things you’ve experienced could very well be linked, the alarm sounding & the central locking activating by itself !
It’s a 2019 model. Do you remember by any chance if there was any resolution or where was the problem? I’ve changed the fob battery as I was thinking maybe it’s on it’s way out and is sending incorrect signals to the car but the issue is still there.
If I recall it’s a dealership fix ?
The alarm module is in the roof fin on later models, not sure if the 2019 model has a roof fin ?
I think I’ve found the culprit. It looks like passengers rear handle is failing as I’m not able to unlock the car with it and it also fails to usualky lock the car, it only works randomly (keyless). I’m guessing there is a possibility it sends incorrect signal to the BSI which may trigger the alarm as well.
