Automatic braking

Does the DS7, 225 e-tense, performance line +, plug in hybrid, built in 2023 have an automatic braking system?

Hi,

All DS 7 and DS 7 CROSSBACK come with Automatic Emergency Braking.

If you have the adaptive cruise option, it will also slow to a complete stop if there is traffic and adaptive cruise is enabled.

Thanks,
Alex

You can check if you have adaptive cruise by looking at your cruise stalk.

Hello,
I do not understand.
AUTOMATIC BRAKING is working only if the cruise control is working - desired speed is locked.
If you drive the car manually by pushing the pedal, AEB is not working?
Thanks

There’s two different braking we’re talking about.
There’s the emergency braking system, which all DS cars have,
And then there’s the “convenient” braking, that helps you in traffic in non-emergency situations, and that is only available if you have adaptive CC.

I recommend checking out the user manual. Everything is described in detail there.
The system operates differently depending on the current speed and type of detected object. The object’s axis of motion, whether transverse or perpendicular, also plays a role.

Small excerpt from the manual in C5 Aircross about Activ Safety Brake:
The system operates under the following conditions:

  • The vehicle speed must not exceed 60 km/h (37 mph) for pedestrian detection.
  • The vehicle speed must not exceed 80 km/h (50 mph) for a stationary vehicle or cyclist to be detected.
  • The vehicle speed must exceed 10 km/h (6.2 mph) (camera and radar versions) or be between 10 and 85 km/h (camera-only versions) for a moving vehicle to be detected.
  • If the radar and/or camera confirm the presence of a vehicle, pedestrian, or cyclist, this indicator light flashes (for approximately 10 seconds) as the function applies the vehicle’s brakes.

I will ckeck it and then I will post again.
Thanks.
