Automatic Operation In Progress?

So this morning when driving to work a message popped saying electric mode unavailable.

The car pulled off as normal in the default electric mode , I then selected hybrid mode, but when I stopped at the next junction I noticed the “READY” light came on but the ICE was running with the car in 1st gear ?

I pulled off and the car kept the ICE running and went through the gears as normal.
On the next junction the same thing happened, so I tried comfort mode and then full electric mode.
This message popped up .
I’ve seen the electric mode not available message when there’s no traction charge left but this is the first time I’ve seen this message, that mentions “Automatic Operation In Progress”, what does this refer to ?
Automatic gearbox or something else ?
I’ve run the car in full electric a bit more than usual over the last couple weeks, so was wondering if that might be why this message is popping up , perhaps the car wants some input from the ICE ?
Any ideas ?

Found this for the Peugeot 5008 hybrid.
Pretty high chance that it is the same for DS.
(Maybe it’s even in the DS manual as well)

Ah, yes, I think I’ve seen that in manual, Thanks Jay :+1:

These short journeys that I do are obviously throwing up these little things.

The short trips I take daily don’t generate such messages. My average distance per trip is 10-15 km (6-9 miles). And that’s how it is for six months between long trips. I rarely cover even 40 miles in a single trip.

I barely cover 40 miles in a week, which then includes the car being parked up for 3 days.

I have noticed the ICE starting / stopping frequently on these short journeys so I guess the message is related to this and matches what the manual says…

I would also imagine even one longish journey a month will make a big difference, compared to 4 short journeys and then park thing the car up for 3 days…
