Battery drain..... any help

2022 ds 7 crossback battery drain?.

Ds models have issues with the 12v batteries.
Many posts on here regarding the same issue.

Hiya jactac I jump started the car let it run for 45 minutes then isolated the battery for half an hour but I reconnected it it didn’t want to start, but when I put jump leads back on it started first time… you could be correct… Thank you

That sounds like your battery is faulty/too old.
Lead acid batteries ( the one under the bonnet) on modern cars typically last 4-5 years, as your car is a 2022 model, you’re battery is probably 4½ (at least) years old.

You don’t say where the other end of the jump leads were connected, if that was to a known good battery then when you started you car it was using the known battery as power source.
Ideally, you need some way of checking battery voltages, 12.6-13.0 volts at rest, 14.6(ish) with engine running lower than 12.6 it’s stuffed, around 14.6 alternator is working fine.
However, not sure if this still works with modern cars, turn headlights on a try to start, if they go dim , faulty battery.

Yes, but only for PHEVs; for ICE-only vehicles (diesel/petrol), the voltage can range from 13.0 to 14.6 V while the engine is running. In ICE-only vehicles, the alternator charging level depends on the 12V battery’s state of charge.

NEW battery done the trick… thank you mate
