Hi! I’m interested in buying a DS7 Crossback and the one i looked at had a weird issue on the screen, where the bottom edge(not the screen itself, but the trim around it) started to crumble, like some acid or something started to dissolve the plastic. I’m wondering what might cause this and is there any easy fix for it. I tried to google and noticed multiple salvaged units has the same issue, see attached images. Is this a known issue maybe?
Thanks
This isn’t a problem with the screen itself, but with its bezel.Something went wrong at the factory. A screen in good condition costs 250EUR.
I think so too, but on the second picture it seems like the bottom right starts to cover the screen itself too. The car i saw only had this “marks” in the middle like 10cm wide but stopped going up where the screen itself starts. Maybe theres an aftermarket screen protector of sorts that covers the bezel too, that would work, because i think it’s only a cosmetic issue, not functional. But either way it must be some known issue if more than 1 car has it.
This is structural damage and any screen protector will cover it. Only changing for a good one.
