Drive 15 Minutes Every 7 days

Hoping someone can help.
This is driving me nuts…
I know 100% I’ve read somewhere, either in the manual or online that DS recommend that the car is driven for at least 15 minutes every 7 days to help with the batteries maintenance.
I believe the advice goes onto to say some features will shut down unless the car is used for the 15 minutes every 7 days.
I even took a bloody screen shot of the page and posted it here but where I just do not know ?

I just cannot find where it says this.If anyone can direct me in the right direction it would be great.
Thanks

It’s a message displayed in the MyDS app.
Not sure if you can pull it up just anytime, or if it only shows when you have connectivity issues.

Really ?
I’ll check it out now.
I knew I read it somewhere, thought I was going nuts :upside_down_face:

My dealership said they’ve not heard of it ?

Not only do I have a screenshot of it, but I also managed to find it.
However, it’s in Swedish so not sure how much use you have of it.

Providing translation:
What could be causing this? -Your vehicle is in a location without internet access. -Your vehicle has not been used for 15 minutes at a time for more than seven days. To preserve the battery, the connection is disabled. To reactivate it, take another trip for at least 15 minutes at a time. If this is your first time using this service, your vehicle must be running for at least 15 minutes at a time to be able to use the buttons when the vehicle is
off.

You’er an absolute star :+1:
So my guess is the 15 minute, 7 day rule is only to keep the app connected to the car ?
I think I’ve misunderstood this rule ?
I thought the the keyless entry & welcome lights features would go into into hibernation if the car was not used for at least 15 minutes every 7 days ?
I’m sure I thought I read that somewhere , but maybe not ?

It’s only about the car’s internet connection.
If I understand it correctly, for example when updating via USB (for us that need to), the car needs a connection in order to verify the update.
Or remote starting climate perhaps too.
So yes, it’s the remote possibilities that that rule apply to.
Don’t think this applies to keyless features at all.
There might be other rules for that that I don’t know about.
But we have different keyless system.

I thought is was to keep the ‘auxiliary’ battery charged. As, charging the traction battery only does that, and running the engine charges the both 12volt batteries, it would have been handy for Stellantis to put a 12 volt charger in the system, but they didn’t😉.

The reason for the stupid rule is probably that, yes.

Thats what I thought I read somewhere ?

I’m sure it said some features will hibernate until a 15+ minute journey is done every 7 days .

I’ve spent hours looking through my posts and looking at DS4 manual online but I just can find it.
I can remember doing a screenshot on posting it, but I cant find it.

I just had a quick search through my owners manual… This will confuse things a bit.

I read that earlier whilst searching for more info.

I’ve actually had the Electrical Eco Mode message and the Electric Mode Not Available message.
