I have had my car for over 2 years now without any fault except the usual (famous) screen freeze.
Yesterday I was going to work and as usual in the morning I put on some music, the base / subwoofer was non-existense.
Also just want to add, I usualy don’t go over the volume of 15, sometimes I go for 20.
I tried to play through radio, plug in my phone with cable, tried different music apps and youtube, tried wireless and also bought a dongle…
I can’t seem to get the subwoofer to work.
I have tried to look in the manual for where the subwoofer is located or any information… I get 0 info about the sound system.
Does anyone have any clue on why or how this could happend overnight when not using the car?
My son has the Vauxhall Astra Ultimate PHEV, it’s basically the same underneath as a DS but in different clothes, as is the Peugeot 308 PHEV.
When my sons subwoofer stopped for no reason he did a factory reset in the cars menu and the sub sprung back to life !
I can also recall that he also lost all sound from the radio ect and even the indicators and other warning chimes, this was not the same time as the sub issue, but he did a reset then as well and it worked.
When the car went in for its service he mentioned all of this but there was nothing logged on the cars computer ?
Bit of a pain having to put all your settings back after a reset but it worked for him.
Might be worth a go, but if the car is only 2 years old it should still be under warranty ?
His was still under warranty but he decided to try a reset first as the dealership couldn’t book it in for a few weeks.
Its all worked fine since.
