I have a 2023 DS4 opera and have noticed that the “dead pedal” where i rest my foot is bare carpet. Has anyone ever found anything that is OEM that can be placed there to stop wear to that area? Open to other options as well.
Also, the pedals are the ugly rubber ones. Has anyone found an aftermarket chrome pedal kit to replace them on the right hand drive version? There are some for the left hand drive
You could buy a car mat that has a similar look to the cars carpet, cut out the worn piece, then replace with a cut piece from the car mat using contact carpet adhesive spray to stick in place.
This is assuming the carpet is black as it would be easier to match ?
As for pedals, I’m finding there aren’t that many aftermarket accessories for DS.
I like the look of the ones Andrew put on here, but would the brake and accelerator covers fit over the existing ones ?
I think the dead pedal cover will screw into the carpet (if the screws are not too long), as there’s no real movement once its in place, but as Andrew said put a bit of velcro on the back to help.
Is the “dead pedal” good in the DS4?
In my DS7 it’s too steep upwards and it’s also directed somewhat inwards, so your toes point towards the middle of the car.
Worst resting pedal in any car I’ve had since they started with these resting pedals. I rarely use it now unfortunately.
Yeah I’d agree with Andrew, I find it comfortable.
Because of my MS I actually use it sometimes to get a bit of leverage from my left leg to help support the right leg , if that makes sense.
