Hi!
Do You have information about adding inductive charger to the DS4 2021/2022 that lacked this option due to chip shortage?
I know that there is special instruction for dealership about adding this accessory in new Peugoet 308.
I suppose something similar is available for DS4 since from infotainment perspective these are almost the same cars.
Dealership has offered me to add this charger for 360EUR.
Yes I could find the instructions. I will look tomorrow.
Hello, any news about that??
it’s this part you guys are talking about, right?!

Hi Alex, have you had luck to find instruction file?
Thank you very much
Well I have considered adding factory wireless charger to the car but it Was very expensive for such simple device (above 400Euros with labour).
So I’ve bought wireless chargers that use USB-C connectors and tested two locations – there are plenty 10/15W charges that will fit both locations however have in mind the phone will by rather always charged with 10W which is car USB-C limitation.
One place where You may place the charger is where the factory wireless charger is by default (in front) and the second one at that deep cutaway near armrest.
If You do not have hybrid model (PHEV) then this place near the armrest is specifically designed for storing You phone because it’s deep and have option to run cable trough it to the armrest.
If You have PHEV version then the armrest is different, it lacks air condition and it’s suitable only for placing Your car key or something small.
When I put my wireless charger in factory location then phone frequently got overheated and stopped the charging what is to be expected because there is no air circulation around there. If You’re using Android Auto then phone overheats after 10-15 minutes and that’s all from charging.
If You put the phone with wireless charger in the second location then it works VERY well.
You may set driver center air vent a bit lower to get some air going through that area and what makes the biggest difference, You have air conditioning vent in the armrest so the cold air that is going to the armrest goes up through the hole for charger cable to bottom of the phone and cools it down from there.
Armrest conditioning work very well if You set overall Air Conditioning setup to Normal.
On Soft setting the fans work too weak and the air flow is too small.
Currently I’m using that setup with big phone (One Plus 12) and it works great, phone is always charging, never overheating and I have great access to it whenever I need it.
Hey Avatar, this what they offered me in DS Store in Warsaw
“ Good morning,
To install the wireless charger, the storage compartment must be replaced. The charger itself is PLN 700 gross. With exchange and coding it is PLN 1200 gross. Storage box initially PLN 880 gross + exchange. We have 3 lockers at our disposal. In addition, an advance payment for parts of 100% will be required”
It seems they charge over 500 euros there
Well I’m also from Poland and looks like the prices have gone higher (which doesn’t surprise me). If I remember correctly I was asking in DS Store Katowice however prices won’t differ much between DS Stores. I’ve heard that there is new one opened near Katowice, “Zuzanny 36, 41-219 Sosnowiec” so You may ask there but it’s only DS Service (without Store) but You won’t need it anyway since those type of things go through DS Service.
I can confirm that the storage compartment needs to be changed (the insert to be specific where the charger is) – it Was also the case in my query to DS Service.
Yes, prices went crazy. Thank you for the tip, I may check with them in Katowice
Especially Service Agreements, when I was ordering my car in December 2021 warranty extension to 200000km and 8 years cost 8000PLN, now it’s around 30000PLN.
When the car arrived in June 2022 the prices where 2.5x higher.
Still Stellantis is the only manufacturer in which You may buy such a long warranty (as far as I know) but the price kills that idea instantly. I’m extending the warranty year by year for now.
Eventually I decided to give it a go since it would be more convenient for my wife. The final price is 3350 PLN (hands and parts) they have installed but they forgot to order status light and now we are waiting this to be delivered from France. In Warsaw DS store said they were confused why this piece was not there already because it is pre installed in every DS4. They will not charge the work when the piece arrives. All in all, price of 780 euros is ridiculous.
Don’t know how relevant this is for the thread but I write it anyway
I have the e-tense 225 (PHEV?) and it does in fact have air-conditioned armrest, dual USB-C outlets and there’s space for both phone and other things in there.
My car has the OEM inductive charger in front of cup holders, works really well but overheats after 1,5hours running Android Auto (OnePlus 10Pro).
Air conditioning in that compartment would have been a good addition to this lovely car.
Thats why I have inductive charger there so there is no overheating even at summer.
Sorry, I misunderstood what you wrote when reading on my phone
