Ds7 crossback E tense 300

Good afternoon,
I am reaching out please my Ds has been diagnosed with an engine fault it’s been scanned at stellantis Stockport as a hybrid battery fault and only fixible by Ds Salford ,it’s booked in for aug ,
Are there any thoughts out there please ,
I’ve read that Ds have an 8 year main battery warranty which I suppose is good .

Good luck dealing with Stellantis Manchester. They are a complete nightmare. I ended up rejecting my car because of their ineptitude. They had my car for over 6 months!!!

Hi Mark
Thank you for the info I will keep that in mind .

What are the systems? Does it say “Hybrid system unavailable” or something similar if so that is probably just the 12v auxillary battery. If it says “Electric Traction Fault” that is probably the traction battery which is about £8k and covered by the 8 year warranty. There is a relatively common fault acoss the Stallangtis fleet with this traction battery, requiring it’s replacement, ours was done 18 months ago.

Hi Richard,
It’s just says engine fault repair needed,
Stockport have scanned it and it’s come up as Hybrid traction fault ,so it’s booked in at Salford in August .

Although in Dutch displays a similar message. My DS 7 E-Tense 3000 4x4 is just over 6 months old and since two weeks it will not -if only incidental- run in full electric mode. The message sounds like ‘Driving mode ELECTRIC is temporarily unavailable’, or ‘Electric mode not available. Automatic mode in operation’. The car is scheduled to go to the workshop coming Wednesday. It has only 4200km on the clock. The electric motors do engage in Hybrid mode. Hopefully they can resolve this.

Both batteries have been replaced. Problem solved. Strange that this was necessary considering that the car is 7 months from new.

Hi Nowild,

On warranty, they tend to replace the car batteries even if their health has been just slightly depleted. From what I know, not only Stellantis.

Glad to hear the issue has been solved

Best regards
