DS7 Crossback Voice Activation

I have a 2021 DS7 Crossback Etense 225 that has been sat in Stellantis for 8 weeks attempting to get the voice activation system working.

The voice activation system suddenly stopped working. Which now means i cant use the steering wheel control to make calls etc. The button works and the voice activation appears on the screen, but doesnt respond to voice commands. The odd thing is if you make a handsfree call via the touch screen it works perfectly. It apoears to be something to do with the voice activation microphone which i believe is seperate to the voice one?

Stellantis are just going backwards and forwards with DS Technical trying all sorts of diagnostics, but getting nowhere fast. This has been going on for 8 weeks (they have had the car all this time) which is a rediculous amount of time to try and solve a minor problem.

Has anyone else had any voice activation issues?

The saga continues… the car is still at Stellantis and has now been there 17 weeks. They still cant solve the problem. Their biggest problem is DS Technical support. They operate at a snails pace and just seem to be clueless. In the meantime i have a car that i cant use, that is deprecating like a rock, im paying insurance and road tax as well. Im so dissapointed in DS. Not what you would expect from a so called premium brand. Shame as when there are no faults they are great cars.

That’s a ridiculous problem to have and I hope you’ll get your car back soon.
Personally I rarely ever use the voice activation, but you still want a car where everything works as intended.

Thanks… ive used it a lot and find it really uselful as you dont take your eyes off the road. My warranty had nearly run out and i wanted it sorting. Little did iknow it would still be in the dealership 17 weeks later.

Ive just had a message to say the part they ordered at the end of November and waited another three weeks for calibration from DS Technical Support has now been fitted but didnt fix the problem. In fact the whole media screen has now gone blank. You couldnt make it up.

Haha, you’re right, you can’t make that sh*t up.
I shouldn’t complain since my car only is on the 3rd week at the shop. They said 2 weeks and now we’re in the 3rd week and they called today saying they still have to order some parts.
What is it with mechanics and planning? They seem to be completely incapable of it.

Good luck with that. Once DS Technical Support get involved everything seems to grind to a halt. Have they sorted hou out with a loan car?

It’s an insurance claim so insurance company pays 75% of the rental.

Thats good although still having to pay 25% is a pain. Thedealwrship provided me with a car for the first 9 weeks, then they needed it back so DS araanged a hire car.

Yeah, but I don’t think the insurance claims department at the car shop handles loaners at all, just because they know people’s insurance companies pays for rentals.
The insurance claim shop and the service shop are different departments in different buildings but still the same car dealer company.
If I turn the car in to the service shop for maintenance or something else, I usually get a loaner.

Don’t want to hijack the thread any further but I just wanted to tell you that I got my car back today, after 22 days. The company said they’ll take care of the 25% fee as a compensation for taking so long.
Still one issue left though, since the insurance company didn’t accept the issues with the night camera I was having, connected to that particular accident, but if I did a new claim they’ve said they’d take care of it.
Bureaucracy…

Thats good news, glad you got sorted. Mine has now been in the garage for 18 weeks. No idea when i will get it back.
