The green highlight marks the location of the original camera, which you already have. It’s only visible from the outside. This is just a diagram because it’s not visible from the inside.

So the new housing with the dash cam clips over the original housing ?
I have been following this thread with a great deal of interest and am very impressed with the can do attitude @Andrew_PL you have shown us all 
I have also ordered the dashcam from AliExpress and will update when it arrives and I fit it. I do like this forum, great info and fantastic members

I hope you need it for the DS4? Because this camera in my last link won’t fit the DS7. This thread has gotten a bit mixed up, with the info about the dashcam pertaining to the DS4 and the main topic being cleaning the DS7 factory camera and auto high beam.
This is for most of the DS7 but not for all of them, as there were different versions of the black area around the rear-view mirror on the windshield.

I probably confused things when I asked about the dash cam for a DS4. 
I was asked for photos before they sent me the camera to make sure it’s the correct one, let’s hope it’s all ok
