Hello,
I bought my ds7 etense 300 back in October, it had 19,000 miles on the clock, it didn’t have any service history but the dealer said it’s had an oil change and a check over (performed on all their cars apparently) the service light has recently come on, does anyone know the service intervals for this car, obviously I’ve looked at the app but it’s not clear.
Would it be a good idea to get a service done now or turn off the service light and wait till October.
Currently, DS vehicles typically have a dynamic service interval based on driving style, but no longer than 12 months. Standard intervals are provided in the appendix.
19000m it’s around 30000km and 12500m / 20000km
This 19k miles is too early for twice oil change because it sould be 25k miles (2x 12500). Or they didn’t reset the service light.
service plan.pdf (87,3 KB)
@Andrew_PL , the service schedule, was that for your DS4, or @Lee80 DS7?, or just general, ‘one size fits all’?
Just some DS7 Etense 4x4 300HP
Cheers, I’m just after a service schedule for a PHEV.
It’s essentially the same for all PSA PHEV 1.6 engines. The only major change is a reduction in spark plug mileage from 60,000 km to 30,000 km.
That makes sense, but it’s it just the mileage or have they add some years?
From 30,000km/4 Years to 60,000/? Years.
What about the Airfilter?
Before was 60k km, now is 30k km.
My Ds was serviced last September, it’s first service since buying new, the mileage was silly low, about 1800 I think, according to them they changed the oil, oil filter, air filter & cabin filter.
I was surprised they changed the air filter and cabin filter at such low milage ?
I do have a 3 year service plan in place.
That is time, not mileage.
In the C5 Aircross PHEV I did it first on time and then second based on mileage (10k km) and not time.
In DS4 I only do it for mileage because it is earlier than for time.
Are you all finding your service records on the myds app? My DS7 was supposedly serviced before I bought it and the dealer claims to have done the 2yr service but not provided paperwork for either servive and they are not on the app. The dealer is not returning emails or calls. The app is not woking at all today even after a re-install.
The app only offers theoretical suggested dates based on time/mileage or memorized data that you have to enter manually or previous suggestions that have expired and are saved as omitted.
The DS Store info system doesn’t transmit any data about the inspections they have carried out to the app My_DS. You can try another DS Store to obtain information about what data about yours car are stored in the DS system, as it’s a publicly available system across the entire DS. They must make such data available, but only to the vehicle owner.
When I bought a used Citroën 10 years ago but in another country where I live, I could easily obtain information about the work that had been done on this car (date, mileage, service code of the work performed) from my Citroën service center in my country.
Your dealership has to update the service record on the app from their end.
Once they do that you’ll see t on the app with a rosette type image saying something like “Dealer Authorised Service” in the “maintenance carried out” part of the app.
It doesn’t work for me, but it may depend on the country and services.
You have owned the car from new, but if you buy a used car, previous records may not be visible to the new owner.
I’m 2nd owner, both services were carried out so far were by Franchised dealers, and records of both services are not on my app. I was told when I had the 2nd service that I best keep hold of the receipt as they didn’t have access to the servers! So it may be the app data is only up dated by main dealers and not franchised.
I have now entered the data manually, quoting, what was done, when, by who and a reciept no., this data seems stored on the server as i have changed phones since entering it.
I also found a service book under the tyre inflator, and have subsequently been back to the dealer for a wet stamp.![]()
I too bought a Citroën once, managed to find the original supplier (from name number plate), and they gave me the full history of the car.
Possibly.
You may have to enter those manually ?
But if you pay for the subscriptions I would of thought the servicing record would show ?
You dont miss much anyway, its hardly worth looking at.
Apparently once the dealership has uploaded the service info to the app they cant amend it.
For instance they have the incorrect mileage showing for mine, it should of been 1830 miles @ that date, they also failed to list all the parts replaced, yet on the paper work they supplied it show’s everything.
The app says cabin filter changed, yet the paper work says cabin filter, oil, oil filter, sump seal ring, screen wash.
I always get paper copies to keep as service history.
Not sure why they replaced the cabin filter, unless you asked or they can then bill the ‘Service plan’ administration accordingly.
But the ‘sump seal ring’ is a good one, most dealer ships vacuum the oil out, so they don’t disturb the sump plug.
I just took the car when it was due, I didnt request anything more than what it should have for the first service.
The service plan I have is the dealership’s own plan, apparently DS do not do their own plans ?
I would imagine every dealership might have a different number of parts replaced above the minimum DS state to swap at each service.
I thought because the mileage was so low the wouldnt of changed what they did.
