DS7 Keyless entry On and Off simply

I just tried my car and it didn’t work for the first two attempts, I thought they were crazy. But then it worked perfectly. So try the following steps to switch to and off:

  1. Open the car, thread and close the door. Do not connect the ignition and do nothing!
  2. Press the Remote Control Lock button and hold down. The central lock closes and then dissolves, normal operation.
  3. After about 5 seconds, while still holding the remote control button, press the central lock button on the center console.
  4. Hold the central lock button for approx. For 2 seconds, 5 release the central lock button, then you need to hear a short warning sound. This means that the procedure was successful.
  5. Release the Remote Control button
  6. Fit it out of the car and try to see if the key door is working.
If there was no sound at Step 5, instead the car simply closed all the doors, then something was a mistake and you have to try the procedure again!
If necessary, it doesn’t matter if you can turn off the keyless opening !! This off-to-off, Citroën C5III, Peugeot 507, and I tried my own DS7 and works !!
Since the devil, he never sleeps !! …

what is this for??

automatic open AND closing the doors??

This can be good if you are in a place with your car where you want to be safer not to let it open automatically when the key is near the car! For example, this way you can protect the car from repeated key copying attacks! Plus, you don’t have to go to a service center and pay money to turn it on and off!

But if you don’t have such a problem, feel free to read on…

sorry you keep saying to turn on/off and working/not working but it’s not clear what you mean

this whole process does what exactly??
Turn off the automatic keyless?
And the same process repeated will re-enable?

Exactly!

Why not just turn keyless entry on/off in the vehicles settings ?

Therefore, it is necessary to:

code copying in car theft

“Code copying” is one of the most common methods of stealing modern cars equipped with Keyless Go systems.
The main types of code copying are:
Relay Attack: Thieves “extend” the range of the car key with a signal amplifier. This way, the signal from the key left in the apartment reaches the car parked in front of the house, which thinks that the owner is nearby, so it opens the doors and allows the engine to be started.
Code Grabbing: When the owner locks the car, thieves use a jamming or recording device to record the remote control signal and then play it back to unlock the vehicle.
Programming via OBD port: If a thief gains access to the passenger compartment, he can program a new key into the car’s memory via the diagnostic (OBD) connector, completely bypassing the factory protection.

I just store my keys in a Defender Wallet .

I think what your describing is how to switch off the keyless proximity entry, you can find this in the manual.
It can be done in vehicle settings or by using the central locking button combined with key fob, like you mention.
Its all in the manual under keyless entry and central locking.

This is a perfect solution!

This solution I described, but received from others, is not included in the operating instructions available to us! That’s why I shared it, in case anyone is interested!

I agree the DS manual can be a bit vague, you have to search thoroughly.

My son has a Vauxhall Astra PHEV,. its basically a DS , both made by Stellantis, I’ve actually used his manual to find information for my DS.
The Vauxhall manual is far more easy to navigate.
