DS7 new user - few questions

Hi,

after over a month with DS7, I have a few questions

  1. can start/stop be permanently disabled? (diagnostic tool?) my car is without dedicated button
  2. what is the purpose of user profiles? I only noticed audio setting change while switching between profiles
  3. rear lights are always on, no matter is it set to AUTO?
  4. titanium/cashmere styles can not be enabled if there is no my sensorial button?
  5. font camera can not be started together with front parking sensors activated? only option is reverse or car button and start it manually?

thanks

Hi,
I have the DS 4 E Tense but they both operate the same features.

  1. No
  2. Can set up audio settings, interior ambient lighting colours, position of side mirrors, position of side mirrors when reversing, position of electric seats (depending on spec) .
  3. Not sure about this, havent noticed but will check.
  4. Not on my spec.
  5. My front camera can be operated manually if needed by pressing the button that has a picture of a car on it, i’ll try to get a pic. I can have the camera on even if not moving. It obviously comes on automatically as well when manoeuvring.

Do you have the 360 camera ?

This is my interior, i have button with car only on multimedia diplay but after that i need to open fron view thru the menu.

I will check this about user profiles

Thanks

And this is user profiles screen.

I tried ambient light, seats and mirrors configurstion between profiles, but only noticable change is audio.

  1. Don’t think so.
  2. As suggested, amb lighting should be one thing, but also the custom settings for the driver display behind the wheel.

5.. I use the front camera all the time and the parking sensors are never disabled. I start if from the car settings menu on the big display. Don’t think there’s an easier way, at least not for my model year.

Doesn’t look like you can set ambient lighting for separate profiles, which is odd ?
Each user profile in my car can have separate:
Audio Sounds
Saved radio stations
Ambient lighting
Mirror angles
Dash displays
Locking/unlocking of doors & boot on approaching the car

Hello Goran,

  1. User-side - no
ECU modification or maybe via Diagbox, but about the latter I am not sure for models post-2018.

Best regards

You will need to set profiles up to your requirements i believe

Indeed. Switching off when are working with daytime running lights is only possible with the original DB diagnostic computer on line or with Arduino.
It is not possible to turn them off on the car’s screen menu.

I might be wrong, I’ll check when I leave work, but I’m almost sure I’ve seen a vehicle setting to switch off the DLR lights (front), which will then switch off the rear lights I would imagine ?
But as said, I might be wrong !

The DLR menu isn’t what I described. My DLR and rear lights were ON during the day. I’ve changed it so that only the front DLRs are ON and the rear lights are OFF during the day.

Think mine are the same, both on together.
How is this changed to just have the front DLR’s on ?

A DS-authorized dealer can do this if they want (they don’t have to). It all depends on DS regulations.
Using Diagbox, this option is in the BSI, in the “Lights” tab, DLR with taillights (or something similar). Unfortunately, this requires a fee.

The second option is free via an Arduino module, but it’s a bit more complicated because it requires knowledge.
Details here, using the example of a C5 Aircross (the same steps are in DS7): https://www.forum-peugeot.com/Forum/threads/tuto-télécodage-et-calibration-dun-nac-rcc-cirocco-cmb_num-sans-diagbox-via-arduino.121767/page-170#post-2770923
