DS7 Opera tilt side mirrors in reverse

Hello Everyone,
I have issue with side mirrors not tilting anymore, when I put into reverse.
Triple checked settings in infotainment it is already in ON/enabled position. Tried numerous times to switch off/on with no improvement.
This happened few days ago as well and it started on its own…now it is again not working…

Could it be due to low accumulator battery (12v)? Last time it was checked in Dec 24 and it was at 69% health.

Also memory seat (buttons 1 - 2) and clink sound (confirming it is applied) is not working every time (would not move seat) - intermittent.

On order hand seat is getting back and forth motorized without any issue when I use move seat buttons, also I can move position mirrors when I use joystick without issues.
Start stop is also being engaged without problems (showing battery is somewhat ok - I guess)…

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thank you

I can confirm that in my case, with the battery as low as 45% heath condition (measured CCA against specified CCA), my seat memories worked just fine. However, a battery may suffer from many different modes of failure, and some are harder to detect because they affect power delivery intermittently.
If your battery has more than 5 years I would strongly suggest replacing it. Batteries are consumables, they will degrade sooner or later, and replacing them is a good measure of preventive maintenance, especially when newer cars rely on them so much these days.

Next Wed I have scheduled a visit to my car service for further investigation and most likely battery replacement for new EFB batt.
If that is not an issue, it will be really hard to find out if it is wiring and some installation issue… hopefully it isnt…

I tried to adjust the angle while in reverse and set a new seat memory, but that is not remembered. It would be nice to know if the service has any options available to improve that flaw.

Both 12v batteries are changed under warranty on my DS4 E Tense next week.
I’ve had ongoing issues since buying the car new last September, keyless entry & welcome lights intermittently working, radio not staying on when just having the ignition on, start/stop becoming infrequent , Active Cruise infrequent, auto lights infrequent, the car going into Electric Eco Mode (displayed on the screen) and shutting features down .
It has taken over 4 months and countless visits to the dealership for them to finally get the ok to change the batteries even though I’ve been telling them from day one that I suspect the issues are due to the batteries discharging.
The main 12v battery was dropping to just 12v over a day or two if the car was not used, a good 12v battery after being fully charged should hold at around 12.6v, anything lower than 12.5v can be regarded as suspect.

I’ve now been informed by the dealership service dept after them having a Stellantis technician check the data on my car, that if the main or auxiliary battery does drop its holding voltage it can effect numerous features on the car, so it would definitely not surprise if your mirrors are playing up if your battery or batteries are not holding their charge.

Update,
Now, after battery change (Varta AGM), I got wrench icon on dash, and saying “check side lamps”.

Especially it is triggered when I switch right indicator.

Everything works, every single led lamp/indicator.

The only thing that actually looks like not working are two orange indicators on bumper, that should be lighting up (hazard lights) when fifth door (boot) is opened UP, to take from main side indicator swiping (floating) led lights.
We tried opening boot and using hazard lights but they are not lighting. Service guy managed to pull one module from the bumper and all lights are ok.

It is really indicative that both orange lights in the bumper stopped working (not signaling) after battery change…
Really strange for me… they told me to drive a few days to see if it will settle it self on its own…

Currently start/stop is just blinking 3-4 times green and nothing, guess that one also needs settling to communicate back/forth.

Any ideas would be really appreciated… I am desperate, as now apart from side mirrors not tilting in reverse, after battery change new issues introduced… crazy…

Thank you

Did they re-program the car after changing the battery ?

I’ve been told when my car goes in next week for two new 12v batteries, the car will be with them for 2 days so that they can re-program it and carry out any updates.

The 12v batteries on the DS seem to be the problem for many faults.
Currently my car is refusing to use electric in hybrid mode because there “might” be an issue with the 12v batteries ???
Yet the hybrid battery is fully charged, so why are the 12v batteries stopping the car from using the hybrid battery ???
I have to say, the DS4 is probably the most frustrating and disappointing car purchase I have ever made.

Why did they fit an AMG if you had an EFB ?
From what I’ve been told the charging process is different for EFB & AMG ?
Certainly the programming of a new AMG will be different to fitting a new EFB.

Regarding AGM, they told me it is even better than EFB and it can use both without issues. It was like 35€ more expensive.
In other words, do not have any downsides going to AGM instead of EFB.

Reading different forums, I see many people got this “side marker lights” when changing battery, and they fixed it with BSI reset procedure.
Will give it a try tomorrow, if it does not fix it self until.

The BSI or BMS will always need re-setting if a battery is changed, and in some cases even if charged.
From what I’ve read online theres an argument for EFB over AGM, and also an argument for AGM over EFB.

AAPEX Workshop Recap: AGM vs. EFB, What’s the Difference? | Continental Battery Systems.

Do BMS and BSI have different reset procedure?

I’m not sure.
Here in the UK we call it Battery Management System, I’m not sure if its the same as BSI ?

By reseting BSI everything cleared up, all the lights are working now - no service wrench nor any other alerts/errors. Great news!

But the main/initial (previous) issue remained (without any actual error) and that is side mirrors not dipping/tilting when in reverse. Sometimes it works but mainly not - intermittent…
It has something to do with M - memory seat function, as it usally breaks once M is clicked and then it wont accept any preset to save 1 or 2 - no audible bong sound.
Because of that, is there any specific process/procedure to reset memory seat function, some sequence to reset seats and potentially side mirrors?

Can you delete all user profiles, then add back in ?

Unfortunately there are no profiles currently, was lazy to create one… so I am going with “no profile”.
Any other idea?

All I see that both memory preset 1 and 2 (moving/adjusting seat) are still preserved as I did set them back in the days memory feature was working.

Hello. Does start/stop work as expected now?

Yeap, it is on the second drive after sleeping over night.

I think theres an option in settings to go back to factory settings.
I would guess it would reset everything including the memory seat/mirror function.
Might be a bit extreme though ?

There is factory default in infotainment system / main central screen. But not sure it has anything to do with seats… would be disappointed if everything configured gets reset apart the seats

I think theres a factory reset for everything.
If you sold the car the new owner should have the option to reset ?

Perhaps try removing the battery from the fob, it might reset ?
