DS7 Panoramic Camera issue

Hi,

My brand new DS 7 HDI (just got it last week from dealer) started yesterday evening to have an error of 360 cameras. First the front camera was not working displaying a camera icon with an exclamtion point. Afterwards, when I parked at home I noticed the rear one also stoped woring, the screen showed a car icon with blacks where normaly the camera images woould show.
I left the car for 30 mins and on my return I noticed the rear camera started working again but the front one did not. As of now (24h later) the situation is unchanged. Night vision works fine, no error messages anywhere and no new software updates.
I am puzzeled about this happening in a brand new car, next week I have an appointement to the dealer.
Anyone had any issues similar to mine?

If I was you I would take it back too the dealership; it is definitely not working as it should. Any work needed needs to be done by dealer under warranty. It may be something as simple as a firmware update.

Under no circumstances try to do anything yourself as it will invalidate your warranty and you don’t want that to happen.

Update: I took it to the dealer, changed the camera (water damage). Fast forward 2 months, the replacement camera is dead too (likely the same cause). I have 4 more years of waranty so I guess I’ll make them run out of cameras. :joy:

But the important question seems to be; why did it get water damage?
Sounds almost like some kind of design flaw it it that easily takes water damage.

Reminds me of when I’m about to connect it to the charger after driving through an automated wash , when I find wash foam still there underneath the charging port lid. Feels like that could cause some damage too. Anyone else noticed this?

Most likely a bad design and sealant used. I expect that this problem will be a regular thing for me and the dealer to fix.
Btw, I use automatic car wash and I’m not planning to change a thing. So DS will have to pay until they manage to fix and do a better quality control.
