Hello All. I disconcerted the battery to check the voltage. And now the car will not start. Its a DS7 crossback and the battery voltage is 12.4v . Also doors wont lock and the dash and radio are on, cannot turn it off. Any advice would be greatfully received.
Simon, hope you are getting somewhere with this. It might help if you state what year and model your DS7 is, and explain exactly how you disconnected the battery and measured the voltage (you can measure without disconnecting). In the manual for my DS4 there are some things explained about how batteries should be disconnected and what to do when reconnecting.
Good luck.
Hello Andy, 2019 performance line, cheked the battery voltage with a volt meter, only took the live clip off. Getting absolutely nowhere with it. From what ive read it my be the battery needs changing. Waiting for a mechanic to contact me and run a diagnositic for me.
Thanks
Hi Simon,
Assuming this is a hybrid then it has 2 batteries.
One under the bonnet and one in the boot floor. If you ever need to disconnect the main battery under the bonnet you must disconnect the negative cable on the battery in the boot first!. Failing to do this corrupts/ does damage to ecu program wherever that is. This is what I was told by my dealers mechanic when I purchased our DS7 Hybrid. Hope that helps?
Ps, you dont need to disconnect battery to check the voltage.
John.
