Hi guys. New to the forum.
I’ve just bought used ds7.
Did the link thing and usb upgrade. Took around 2 hours total and all was good.
The app however is still showing i have something to upgrade even though I’ve checked the firmware version on the system and its the same. Why is the app still showing i have upgrades pending ? Phone has been connected to the car multiple times ever since.
I’ve tried to install the app to control charging and temperature settings from the app. Now its still pending for multimedia system upgrade. Apparently i have to drive it multiple times for 20 minutes each at least. Is there no way around it and is it normal ?
Would really appreciate some help here as I’m going in circles.

First off, the app sucks. Among hundreds of faults with it, it has absolute horrible caching strategies, which mean it doesn’t update data very fast. So most likely you have already updated what’s need updating.
Secondly, the app sucks. That error message you see about driving for a specific amount in 7 days, while it’s technically true that that is a baseline needed for the system to not shut down the connection, it displays that message regardless of issue so it could just be that the app sucks, in general, that is the issue.
Did you drive the car for 15 minutes straight for the last 7 days?
(“Drive” means that the car must be running, not necessarily actually driving)
Are you suggesting that the app in question sucks ?
Anyways. I,ve called ds support. Got the direct links over email and sent app screenshot + routes export csv to them and awaiting resilution. Will update once I hear anything from them. I’ll try switching my mobile mode from 5G to LTE and 3G. Maybe that’ll help.

Lte and 3g didn’t help. Neither did another map and fw upgrade.
I have a ticket logged and its with IT support now so it will be probably accidentally closed tomorrow once sla hits.
