On my 2022 DS4 PHEV, there is some sort of ECU / power electronics module that sits on top of the main under bonnet 12V battery. When I was checking battery voltages, I noticed that it easily slides forwards and back - only about 1-2cm - but other than that seems secure.
Here’s a video showing the movement. Is that normal, or is there some fastener that is missing?
The battery has probably been replaced and is too small compared to the original, or the limiters are damaged. Standard play is 2-3mm.
@Andrew_PL Many thanks for your photo - on mine the metal frame that secures the module to the battery is a bit distorted compared to your photo. It feels secure apart from that bit of fwd / back movement - so may not do anything about it immediately.
The metal frame securing the module to the battery is slightly deformed because someone probably couldn’t remove it and bent it.
Yes it is definitely bent compared to yours - as you say somebody who couldn’t remove it when changing battery.
