Electric boot not working

I went to put the dog in the boot this morning and pressed to electric boot release button and it just beeped 3 times, unlatched but failed to open.

Tried using the key, release button in the car and boot button, but nothing apart from the 3 beeps. I can manually pull the boot open, but when open it also just beeps at me and will only close by manually pushing it closed.

Anyone had this issue and is there a simple fix or will this be a trip to the DS garage?

Yes, I’m experiencing this issue occasionally. This feature is supposed to prevent the boot from opening when there isn’t enough space in front of it, but the bug still occurs even when there’s nothing obstructing the boot.

I am also wondering if there is a fix for this.

Also check you’re putting in the mileage.
Might sound daft but if the 12v in & auxiliary batteries are low on charge the car switches off such things as the electric boot and other features..

It’s still under warranty, so will let you know how I get on with Ds :+1:

Thanks Jactac, I’ve been doing a good 1500 miles a month over the past few months, but wonder if it is a battery issue

Quick update regarding the 12v batteries.
My DS4 E Tense is back in the dealership for its 3rd main 12v auxiliary in 9 months .

Mine went into DS today, and very embarrassed to say that it was an option in one of the settings menus where it had toggled the electric boot option to off :face_with_peeking_eye: on a positive it’s lovely to have a dealership who just sort those little things and don’t charge diagnostic fees for simple fixes - well done DS Hemel:+1:
