So I’m still trying to work out what the energy flow display on the drivers dash is actually indicating.
Most of the display is pretty obvious:
Engine, wheels & mph displayed in white with white arrows showing motion : Car is using the engine.
Electric motor, wheels & mph displayed in blue with blue arrows showing motion : Car is using the hybrid battery.
Electric motor & wheels displayed in green with green arrows showing flow back to the battery : Regen braking.
This is the bit though that is a little confusing when driving in hybrid mode and is not always present on the display.
The engine, electric motor & wheels are all displayed in white, with white arrows on the wheels showing motion, but there’s also small blue arrows showing flow going back to the battery from the electric motor which is displayed in white ?
All the energy flow displays are straight forward to understand except for the bit where the car is using the engine, indicated by the engine lit in white but also showing the the electric motor in white with these small blue arrows going back into the battery.
At first I thought I might have E save on but it was off.
Could it be charge going back into the battery from the engine ?
If so why is it lit up in blue and not green like the regen braking ?
I’ve tried looking for an image online but cant find anything to show, it seems to show this when the car is at a certain speed or revs ?
I’ve checked this against a courtesy car I’m currently driving and it’s the same.
