DS7 E-TENSE PETROL HYBRID 300+ 4X4 2k on clock

Noticed when had to use heated windscreen this morning it seems to clear from outside to center , first time i used it to lines bout 3 inches wide cleared quickly evenly down each side, this morning appeared to be just passengers side clearing although not 100% anyone got any experience with this hoping fur frost again in morning or how else do i check , thanks for any help

Hi Scott, only had my ds7 a couple of months. I think the windscreen defrost is sadly a poor version of the quickclear my old ford had. It only heats the 3" strip down the left and top/bottom of the screen and diverts heated air to the rest, so the left clears quicker, ok if youre left hand drive but it has cheaply been left as is for uk imports. My version is the Opera trim and although love driving it, I am disappointed by small things I realise it doesnt have, such as an updated map, worried about bricking it if I do it! No ambient light change only white, not being able to set the reverse mirror tilt position, and stop start not working. If anyone has any ideas?

Hi Scott,
The heater Element is only on the left hand side! This is because its a French car and they drive on the left.
When the French export to the Uk they could not be bothered to produce a right hand drive windscreen.
So basically its poor to say the least.

There are three types of windscreens.

  1. without heating
  2. with heating only for the driver’s side A-pillar and under the wipers
  3. with heating for the entire windscreen

It all depends on the option you choose when purchasing the car.

Yeah being french looks like they moved the steering wheel to uk side , not not the side window heats up, blooming ridiculous, more n more getting annoyed with my ds7 , thank you for the update much appreciate it .
