Issue with massage seat command.Reset of the infotainment

On the day my used DS4 was delivered, I noticed that most of the times when I try to activate or deactivate the massage seat function, it doesn’t respond on the first press. I usually have to press the on/off icon two or three or even four times before it works. This is happening on both, driver and passenger seats.

I haven’t noticed any similar issue with any other command on the infotainment system.

Does anyone have any thoughts on what might be causing this? Could it be a problem with the infotainment system itself, or with the massage seat control unit?

Is there any way that i can ‘reset’ the infotainment system by avoiding the factory reset. I have tried holding the volume power button but i only get the clock and the date without reseting or switching off the infotainment. Don’t even know if this is correct.

Thanks in advance.

I have tried factory reset of the infotainment without any results. I am coming closer to the conclusion that the issue might be the massage seat control unit, rather than a glitch on the software, but unfortunately in order to prive that i have to visit the dealer shop for further investigation.

As much i have search about how to reset the infotainment- software, there is no such thing as the system supposed to be “reseting” each time the ignition goes off.

Update on the case:

After contacting the dealership, they said they are not sure what’s causing the issue. They suggested disconnecting the main battery for 5 minutes to see if that resolves it.

If that doesn’t fix the problem, they will need to investigate further. This could involve either a software issue with the infotainment system or a fault in the massage control unit. The investigation will take at least 2 days, as they are currently overbooked. (At that point, I almost joked that this must be due to “great reliability”, but I kept quiet.)

Disconnecting the main battery didn’t resolve the issue, as same thing happened after testing.

What I find strange is that the same issue is happening on both front seats. It seems unlikely to me that both massage control units are faulty, so I suspect it’s more likely a software issue. However, I’m not sure whether it’s purely software-related or possibly a hardware problem within the infotainment system.

At that point i am not willing to be without car for at lest 2 days, pay around 100€ only for the troubleshooting which has some possibility not to be accurate at 100%.
