I got a DS7 E-Tense 2020 and I’m wondering if the newly added buttons in the DS Android app can be used in my car and if so? I can’t get them to work just by pressing them. Do I need to update/upgrade anything?
The new 4 buttons are lock, unlock, lights and horn.
I wouldnt bother.
You’ll soon find out the app is mostly useless, it’s slow to connect and slow to react to any command.
You’ll need to ask the DS Store about this, as it depends on the country you live in, not the app itself. Of course, you’ll also need to have the “Remote Control” service activated - not to be confused with “E-tense remote control” service.
I have the features you mention on my app, I played with them for a few days but just got fed up with how long it would take for the command to actually trigger a response on the car.
I’m not sure if this feature was available in the DS7 pre-lift. Someone who has experience with it on their DS7 would have to comment.
The DS4 has different connectivity (by BSFR) so it’s not the same.
I have a 23MY DS7 PHEV and now have the updates on the app so will have a play and let you know.
