Can anyone help with the procedure I need to undertake in order to get my EAT8 gearbox to go into neutral freewheeling mode. No matter what I try the electronic parking brake automatically engaged

I tried reading this in the manual for my DS4 E Tense, I was baffled after the first few sentences.
Nothing is straight forward in the DS manuals or the way the cars are designed.
I visited my local DS service department last week to see their “DS Master Technician” , 
It took him 2 hours to try and work out how to set the alarm when the car locks its automatically by keyless entry/exit.
In fairness he was following instructions from the DS manual.
After two hours of faffing about he gave up and accepted that the alarm can only be activated by using the remote fob.
The DS manual does not state this, it suggests the alarm is activated when the car locks automatically when walking.
Anyway, sorry for my little rant, hope you can decipher the way to find neutral .
