Hello…
So on Sunday I put a deposit down on a 2021 ds7 crossback x tense 4x4 300bhp hybrid Petrol, I originally when to the dealership to purchase a ford Kuga only to find the seat had cuts in it.
So after browsing the 1000s of cars they had on site I stumbled across the ds7, sat in it and immediately liked it, took it out and loved the drive so we decided to put a deposit down and today I’m picking it up. It’s got 19k on the clock and looks a good buy compared to the Kuga.
Obviously have never owned a ds I was wondering if you guys can give me any advice on ownership…I really hope I’ve made the right decision.
Thanks in advance.
Lee.
The decision to buy a PHEV like DS7 E-tense is justified if you can plug into a 230V outlet or another affordable charging option. If not, I wouldn’t do it.
Yes I have a power outlet.
So you have nothing to worry about.
Welcome to the community, @Lee80 !
You have bought a great car, but as with every brand and model it has it quirks and features. ![]()
You’ll find a lot of tips and advice in this forum, so it’s difficult to just give a general advice, but what I can say is lower your expectations when it comes to the phone app (MyDS).
The car is great, but the app not so much.
Ok thanks…as long as I can use my Spotify and Google maps I’m all good. Looking forward to picking it up.
yeah, carplay is no issue. It’s only the actual DS app that is the problem.
I have the exact same model as you, only a year older.
I can recommend picking up a carplay dongle so you get wireless carplay (or Android auto, if you’re bent that way).
Congrats. I have the 4x4 etense “21 plate Rivolli
I think its a beast of a machine.
Petrol consumption is quite bad but if you can make up with the electric drive you should be fine.
The app is really really bad. Slow, buggy and always has issues connecting.
Currently im at 3.1 L / 100 kms. I have driven 1200 kms and still didnt refuel yet. That is the beauty of it all
