Programming of side windows - MIN and MAX position

Hi!

I’ve replaced my front left and right window from standard to double windows (with acoustic insulation). There is a very big difference especially at speeds above 110kmh.

But my dealership f$$ed this up and they haven’t programmed lowest and most up position of the windows so there is no “auto up” function and also when the windows go all the way up, they go back to half-open.

Of course this issue is present only on front windows which were replaced.

As far as I have found it’s related to replacing the windows and they haven’t set proper MAX and MIN postition for the windows so “pinch” protection is causing this issue.

Is there any way that I can do the programming by myself or do I have to go to the dealership again to fix this issue?

I have tried to disable main battery for a few minutes but it didn’t help which isn’t a suprise for me.

Hi @AvatarPL

Try both of these procedures. Hopefully one will work for you.

I think ‘sequential mode’ means bit-by-bit. So hold for half a second and let go, and repeat until fully closed/open.

Procedure 1

  1. Pull the electric window switch until the door window is completely closed.
  2. Release the electric window switch.
  3. Pull the electric window switch for at least 1 second.
  4. Lower the door window in sequential mode.
  5. Raise the door window again in sequential mode.

Procedure 2

  1. Raise the door window to trigger the anti-pinch system at the upper stop 3 times within less than 10 seconds.
  2. Pull the electric window switch until the door window is completely closed.
  3. Release the electric window switch.
  4. Pull the electric window switch for at least 1 second.
  5. Lower the door window in sequential mode.
  6. Raise the door window again in sequential mode.

Thank You very much, I’ll try it today and report back!

Procedure worked flawlessly, thank You very much. You have spared me 150km trip and around 3 hours of wasted time.

Excellent news!!

DS Service which made the repair will have "problems” due to state that they left the car (with those windows not shutting down properly) so it would by an issue if I would have to take a ticket on speedway or anything similar.
I’ve received pool from DS Central and described situation in that pool and that I’ve managed to repair the issue by myself thanks to help from Internet.
Same day I had a phone call from dealership around 7 p.m. about the issue and they said to me that they are going to have an audit because of this, clearly not following the procedures so they should definitely pay more attention to this in the future.
