Hello everyone
I’m new to the DS7. I bought a 2021 Crossback 1.5 diesel DS7 a couple of weeks ago, and already, I have questions.
One;
The V5 (UK) describes it as prestige, but the badge on the dash says Rivoli.
Which is correct?
Two;
The rear suspension skips over bumps in the road. Is this normal?
Three;
If the car is locked and I’m next to it with the keys in my pocket, should I be able to open the boot lid without first unlocking the doors?
I’ve been into the user menu, and the only unlocking options I have are to unlock divers door only (on or off). I’ve selected off and all the doors unlock when I enter the car.
If I’m next to the car and it’s locked I can unlock all doors by opening any of them.
But in order to unlock the boot, I need to unlock a door, any door. Is this normal or is something broken?
Thanks in advance.
I have the DS4 but would imagine the locks operate the same.
With the car locked I can open the boot only, either by pressing the boot symbol on the fob, pressing the boot switch on the tailgate or waving my foot under the rear bumper (hands free boot opening).
With all doors selected to unlock in settings, you can press on any handle and all doors will unlock, or you can set it just for the drivers door.
On my car I can still open the boot without having to unlock all doors.
The DS manuals dont explain the locking system very well, same with how the alarm, keyless entry & welcome lights.
This may sound daft but go online and look up the Vauxhall Astra , it has the same locking /alarm system but the Vauxhall manual explains things better.
DS, Vauxhall, Peugeot are all built by Stellantis and all use the same platform.
I would clarify with the DVLA in regards to the V5 saying wrong model.
Cant comment on the rear suspension as the DS7 might drive differently to my DS4 E Tense ?
