Rear Fog Lights

So , just found another oddity with my new DS4

The car has Matrix led headlights, I leave the light settings in auto, yet to have the rear fog lights come on you have to come out of auto, and switch the head lights to manual ?

Surely the whole point of the Matrix LED lighting is for safety, so why go backwards and need to use manual mode to have the rear fog lights come on ?

Am I missing something ?

Wouldn’t it be great to have some input from an official DS customer care/technical person. !!

In order to turn on fog lights, the main lights have to be on. If the light sensor has switched the lights on, in auto mode, the fog lights may be lit. If not, you have to first switch from DRL to low beams manually.
