Rear Seat Bottom Removal

Does anybody know how to remove the rear seat bottom on a DS7 Crossback? Mine is a 2020 model E-tense 300 4x4 with Rivoli trim, if the specific model/trim makes a difference.

I dropped a ring on the seat and it went down under the rear seat cushion thru the gap next to the seat belt buckle. I tried retrieving it with a coat hanger from the boot area after dropping the seat back, but no luck. In the process I only ended up pushing the ring deeper.

I am able to pull up the seat cushion by holding under the seat and yanking upwards, but not enough to get my hand under it. Tried removing it entirely by pulling it forward after pulling it up, but something seems to be holding it place. I can’t figure out if there are any other clips or bolts I need to release beside the ones in the front edge. Any suggestions?

Possibly try a magnetic telescopic pick up, but it may not stick to gold or silver ?
Could try a good double sided tape on a long piece of wire like the coat hanger .

On my wife’s Renault Captur the rear seat is a nightmare to remove, it feels like theres something holding it down but with a real good pull it does unclip, not sure if the DS is the same, just needs a proper pull ?
If i recall on the Captur theres two small brackets on the front of the seat that are hidden behind the carpet its a case of unscrewing them and still having to really pull hard upwards from the front.
Maybe the DS is similar ?

I think you need to unscrew 4 screws (red) that are hidden under the plastic caps then you can lift the seat (green)

Very similar to our Renault Captur.
On the Captur after removing the screws/brackets you still need to give it a good pull.

On my DS, there are 3 clips in the front of the rear seat. With a good tug, it easily unclips. So, lifting up on the front seems relatively easy until the clips release. But it only comes up about 2 or 3 inches. After that I can neither lift up more nor pull it forward. That’s why I think there is something holding it in the back, but it is not very obvious.

I think after you free the initial clicks you then need to either pull forward or up but again, you’ll feel some more resistance until it pops out.
Thats how its done on the Captur.
You think it wont come out but it does with a bit of fettling.

No bolts on mine. There are 3 clips along the front edge instead. And neither is my rear seat bottom split 60/40. Split is only in the seat back. Perhaps a difference by model year?

As explained earlier though, lifting from the front does not release the seat in the back.

Ok, will give it a go again. Thanks.

In the picture showing the underside, it seems the tube the runs along the back has a bracket. I can see a bracket like this in mine as well, which is bolted to the body. Perhaps I need to unbolt that. I’ll try doing that.

There are six additional screws, which also hold the seat back.
The type of seat mounts may depend on the interior trim standard. The photo shows the leather with adjustable seat bottom.

I’ve a feeling the seat unclips and then pivots (probably forwards) so that you can get to the brackets underneath if you need to fully remove the seat.
I dont think it completely lifts out with just pulling at it.

@Jactac and @Andrew_PL, thanks for your help. Turns out that the rear seat is a bench seat in the PHEV version and the removal procedure is different. Someone on the Facebook DS7 group sent me a pdf work instruction file which made it very easy. You remove the floor boards in the boot, then take out the plastic trim pieces on both sides of the boot, which then allows you to take out the plastic trim piece under the rear seat. There are no screws at all - they just click in place.

After this I did not need to go any further because it gave me enough access to use a coat hanger to pull out my ring. Since that was my goal, I just put everything back in reverse order.

If I wanted to remove the bench seat, then I would just need to pull up the front part and press down on the back to release some hooks and pull forward. It is quite obvious once you remove the plastic trims. I can send these instructions to anybody that wants it.

Molto gentile avrei bisogno di queste istruzioni in pdf perché devo rimuovere il sedile posteriore per avere accesso al sensore carburante che si trova sotto il sedile. Potresti inviare alla seguente mail: gioloc67@libero.it
Grazie molto

Hi. Could you please send me the pdf with instructions?
I’ve got a similar situation
