Hi John,
The documentation for the DS 7 is not very clear, however the Peugeot 3008 is incredibly similar in many ways (seats being one of them), and the documentation is generally better.
3008 Stripping Front Seats.pdf (3.0 MB)
On page 7 of the above document it shows that there are 10x trim clips holding the back rest on. You should use a trim removal tool or similar to pry the back shell from the seat.
Below is the DS 7 documentation. It is not as comprehensive as the 3008.
DS7 Stripping Front Seats.pdf (2.6 MB)
Massage Lumbar TSB.pdf (405.4 KB)
Thanks,
Alex
Hi Alex,
Thanks. As you say the DS7 is as clear as mud. I’m beginning to think for the sake of a 30 minute bill (well according to the timing on the TSB) it’s probably easier to take it in. Any idea whether a Citreon or Peugeut dealer can do this as my nearest dealer is now York and the last time I went in November it took me over 2 hours to get there.
Thanks
John
Hi John,
It used to be that Citroen and Peugeot would deal with DS vehicles, however I think they are trying to keep the brands seperate now and many claim to be unable to access DS software and parts catalogues (which isn’t true). I would call your nearest Cit/Peu dealer first and explain that you have the TSB to show them, they just need to follow the instructions. Explain how far away the nearest DS is now… hopefully they will be accommodating.
By the way, the TSB number is C5GW0124Q0 - what you provided on your original post was a vin number
Cheers,
Alex
I would try prying it off if you can. There are 10 clips and it shouldn’t be too difficult.
Hi Alex,
Yes, aware of the current situation having spent 10 months trying to get DS to pick the car up for a rear light. Had many conversations with the guys in Sheffield and plenty of complaints about the fact I have a Citreon dealership in walking distance. Aplogiea I should have spot it was a VIN based on my on number. Doh!
I might give then a call… It’s going to cost me a few quid for the trim tools.
Cheers
John
Hi @alex I saw your post about the stripping fron seats on DS where you share the peugeot 3008 documentation, would you be so kind to share the wiring manual for the 2022 3008 gtline powerseats? I want to retrofit those seats on my ds4 but I need to check the wiring of the front seats first.
Thanks,
Hi gentlemen, great documentation. By any chance where can one get more such documentation. Funnily enough I’m more curious about the 3008 one since my lumbar support isn’t working and they want 1k to fix it.
Hi, you can get it off service box for a fee, however the 3008 should be identical to the DS7, they share the same seats.
Hi, any luck with taking off that seat cover? I’ve got an issue with massage working intermittently (same thing with lumbar support), so I would really love to check the connection, but I can’t get the back panel off… I was able to pry the plastic bit on the bottom of the seat, but I’m a bit scared to pull it hard as I don’t want to break it…
Maybe there is a way of doing it correctly, and I’m trying the wrong way? I bought a prying tool set, and still no luck…
Exactly how/what do you mean with intermittently?
By design it’s not running continuously. It runs for a few minutes and then rests for a few minutes, and then starts again.
Sometimes it does turn on but more often it doesn’t at all.
There is a button on the side of the seat which prompts the function on the infotainment screen and nothing shows up when I press it.
Lumbar support function also does not work on driver’s side which I’m guessing is connected.
Passenger side is all good.
ok. Just wanted to make sure it wasn’t the intended pauses you thought was an error.
