Resistence when accelerating

Hi - 62k BlueHDi - has been running fine, last night as I pulled away form some lights suddenly there was a juddering and knocking sound when accelerating. Bit of a “boomp” sound when I start the car too, but car does pull away although feels like there is resistance.

I made these videos to show the issue:

Any ideas?

Dirty injector(s) ?
Knocking might indicate the timing is out ?

Have you recently changed were you fill up , could be contaminated fuel ?

Could be a number of reasons, best to get it on a diagnostic machine at a dealership to check for error codes.

I’m not sure it would be fuel as it happened toward the end of a tank - only have filled from the usual location.

Someone suggested it could be the engine mounts, something similar sounding happened around the same mileage apparently.

Sorry I thought you said there was hesitation and mifire .
Could be the engine mounts or even if its a manual the juddering could be a faulty clutch plate / pressure plate.
You get horrible juddering if the clutch develops a slight warp.

Yes clutch was my initial suspicion - I will take it to a garage tomorrow to find out for sure, will update.

Wife’s Renault Captur was also getting a knocking noise when pulling off when one of the drop links was worn ?
Took us a while to find the problem because from inside it sounded like it was coming from the center of engine bay.
Its mad how noises can travel and throw you off track !

Issue was a bolt on the rear centre engine mount was missing. When driving to the mechanic the issue was more apparent in lower gears and by 3rd gear almost non-existent.

The thread was worn, so not sure if PO hadn’t tighten the bolt sufficiently or if the mount was the issue but mechanic was able to use a taper bolt to get a fixing.
