Retrofit LED Headlights

The title is pretty self explanatory, is it possible to retrofit the LED healights on a model that came with Xenon ones from the factory? So far i know about needing the headlights per-se and an aditional headlight compute unit. Is there anything more to it?

Did you find an answer?

First, you’ll need the wiring diagrams for both versions for comparison and to ensure proper LED installation. Wiring changes may be required. Finally, you’ll need to modify the BSI light settings.

Thank you for the answer, ultimately i gave up on the whole retrofit idea seeing as it’s hard to find a proper car electrician that would even consider such a procedure. At the end of the day i started to enjoy the way the xenon lights blend with the rest of the car more than the led’s, and in case a light goes out you just change a bulb instead of the entire unit.

You have a xenon D5S 25W so you can try this D5S 35-45W led instead xenon Dualvision D1S LED-Scheinwerfer HID D3S D2S D4S D4R D8S D1R D2R D3R Turbo LED 30000LM CSP-Chip 6000K Weiß 4300K 70W 90W Plug&Play - AliExpress 34
You should choose 6000K, D5S with canbus (right photo)

I’ve been using them for two years in my C4 Picasso II and they are very good. Light quality is comparable or slightly better than xenon.
