Should I extend subscription to my Connected Navigation package?

I have an E-tense Rivoli, delivered just before Christmas 2022, so for Christmas I got a machine-generated email saying it has been deactivated, and if I want to re-activate it I need to get myself to the DS Store. No mention of what services I am losing/re-gaining or what they propose to charge me. Typical "premium brand"service :upside_down_face:

Has anyone else had to decide on this after reaching 3 years with their new car? As far as I can tell I lose the extra info on the TomTom sat-nav, but still get the basics of it (inputting/ storing destinations). Iris voice control seems disable, but I hardly used it anyway. And I am one of those who cannot get the app to work for anything anyway when I need it.

Should I renew? has anyone managed to renew for less than the asking price?

You lose speed camera/danger zones (depends on the country) services and road traffic online.

Online traffic and speed cameras are included in one paid package. Chat GPT is another paid package. The rest of the services are free for 10 years, I think.

My car was first registered a few months earlier (Oct 2022), but I only got it a month before the three years connected services expired - I didn’t mind loosing those few things, but I had an offer to reinstate for £1pm for three months so I re-started and with a lot of travelling (family visits) over Christmas those extra things have been useful. Would I pay £9pm / £108 per year ? Probably not - but maybe if I did more longer drives.

There’s a second free option, because turn information is displayed in the HUD or on the dashboard when using the GM app. GMaps also has traffic and some speed cameras.

Just follow promotions in the app when you go to available subscriptions, they offer few times a year to get 3 months of promotional offer, let’s say Connected Navigating Pack for 1 euro a month and 0,5 euro ChatGPT when you enter the promo code. So you can get both services for about 5 euros in total for 3 months.
