Each time I park up and leave my 2022 DS4 a software update message appears on the main dashboard display and, as the last time I accepted such an update it failed, I select the ‘remind me later’ button and lock up.
However, as it’s becoming a little wearisome each time I have to do this, earlier this morning I decided to try the update again - and again it has failed to install. Frustratingly, this has left the smaller of the displays (the one on the drivers side) with ‘white blocks’ scattered across it which block out much of the info it displays, no sound when playing radio channels and the ‘shortcuts’ that I’d set up from the touch pad in the centre console between the front seats all deleted and replaced with random shortcuts/icons.
Can anyone provide some suggestions as to how I might be able to best resolve these problems and how to properly install this software update….. or, indeed, ignore it entirely as it appears to be waaaaaay more hassle that it’s worth and has caused issues over and above the simple failure of it to install?
UPDATE
The ‘white block’, sound and touch pad issues appear to have rectified themselves (phew!) - however, any suggestions on how to properly install the software update I’m pestered with each time I park up and leave the car or, in fact, any insights into why it is failing to install when I select to do so would be much appreciated!
From what I’ve read on here, OTA updates or very Hit & Miss.
I’ve only ever had one and that was 2 days after buying the car brand new last year.
I’ve even bought a wifi extender for the house thinking poor wifi signal was to blame.
The car says up to date with updates, but each time I go to my dealers for something they always find a more recent update to install.
May be OTA updates come less frequent ?
As for not installing I’m not really sure as like I said I’ve only ever had one and it installed.
Still looking for any suggestions as to why the software update I’m pestered with each time I leave the car fails whenever I try to install it and, hopefully!, suggestions as to how to ensure it will succeed the next time I try?
