So yet again another visit to the service department planned for next week to sort out the annoying sticking door handle.
It opens ok but doesn’t retract when driving away locking.
You can hear it’s struggling to retract, it squeaks a little bit when it opens, and is far noisier than the others if it does retract, like it’s jamming on something.
Is this a big job ?
I’m guessing the internal door card will need removing.
My front passenger door handle didn’t always retract when locking up, sometimes it did and sometimes it didn’t - real hit or miss. It was replaced under warranty and I had to leave it at my nearest DS service centre for the whole day for the work to be done (which is par for the course regardless of how big or small the job might be!). I’ve had no issues since so I presume the ‘repair’ will be a similar replacement for your handle.
I’ve had my handles de-chromed and wrapped in gloss black, they look great against the pear white and black roof, so I’m hoping they only need to fix the problem inside the door and have to replace the whole handle, otherwise I’ll have to it re-wrapped.
