Hello. I have a DS4 Performance Line and the Stop-Start doesn’t work, the dashboard icon flashes occasionally but nothing else happens. Does anyone else have this issue?
Wouldn’t worry about it to be honest, but you could try charging the battery up with a smart trickle charger.
My DS4 Performance Line+ only worked for about 6 months, in 2 years… very rarely does it work these days…
Never did on all my previous Citoens either, unless the car and/ or battery was brand new.
(C5 Aircross, C4, and C4X) all the same.
In my view, one of the most useless bits of tech Stellantis / PSA ever installed in any of their cars…
There are so many parameters that are needed for it to work it rarely works…
Battery voltage/ load/ ambient temperature and a zillion others…
Stellantis / PSA have never got this tech right, I used to drive a VW for work and it was 100% effective even after 4 years… Never had any PSA vehicle where it worked reliably.
Also, I found it better to disable it on each journey… it borders on dangerous in my view., cutting out as you approach a roundabout or junction…
Total waste of time, just to save a teeny drop of fuel and tick an EU emissions rule…
Honestly, just ignore it… one day it will work and you will be suprised, then nothing for months on end.
Others may have a similar or different view to mine…I certainly don’t miss it ;o)

Id guess it’s the battery - how old is your car?
On my previous DS5 this didn’t work for the first three years I owned it. Then changed the battery and it was fine for the next couple of years.
Mine is 2 years old, had it from new …
No idea how old the Opening Posters car is tho, or even if it’s petrol or diesel variant ?
Honestly, I found S/S useless in all my French cars…
It no longer bothers me… and am surprised when rarely it does work!
My DS4 went in for a repair recently… the S/S worked all the way home from the dealership
( about 30 miles) . but hasn’t ever since!
;o)
Thanks for the heads-up on the premature cut out
2022 with 13,400 miles
I agree. The way it combines with the auto gearbox is poor and can create hesitation just when you don’t need it - at junctions, traffic lights etc. If I could switch it off permanently I would.
Spot on Simon, I found it quite scary at times…Just when you want to put your foot down and go, it stops ! ( then restarts).
As I said I don’t miss it at all… and would rather do without anyway.
I no longer charge my battery up manually, as I don’t want it to work ;o)
Btw, mine is 1.2 petrol performance line + 2024 with 9,200 miles…
100% check the condition of your 12v batteries.
I’ve had 5 replacement 12v batteries in just over 18 months from buying the car brand new, all under warranty.
The 12v batteries can be an issue on the DS, and can definitely stop the S/S from working, amongst other features on the car.
is the car petrol, diesel, PHEV ?
I’ve disconnected it a couple of times but I generally forgot until the icon flashes
