Has anyone had the traction warning light come on? I had diagnostics done, nothing found, they reset it, and now it’s come back on for the third time. I’ve had a new 12 v battery. Any ideas ?
I think I read on here that faulty 12v battery can cause this.
Did they set the BMS after fitting a new battery.
I have no idea if they did, but thank you for highlighting this
The 12v batteries failing or just even dropping slightly are known to throw up error messages.
Contact the garage and have them reset the BMS.
Also check your tyre pressures, incorrect pressure can sometimes throw up a traction error.
After correcting the pressures re-set the TPMS on the car, in vehicle settings.
Heres a quick Google search.
“Incorrect tyre pressure can cause a traction control warning light to appear on your dashboard. This happens because the vehicle’s traction control, stability control, and anti-lock braking (ABS) systems all rely on WHEEL SPEED SENSOR to function properly”
The wheel speed sensor is your tyre pressure sensor, also know as a TPMS.
