Updating ds7 system/maps

Hi all. According to myds app, my recently acquired 2021 ds7 crossback needs the system and maps updated to 44.06.44.22_NAC-r0 and 16.0.0-r0 respectively. Are these the latest updates for a 2021 ds7? If you have a similar model, have you done these updates ok? Thanks.

The DS Update software says I have no updates, so I guess I have done them.
Was there something specific you were wondering about?

I just got this message also on myDS. It told me I could send the link to my e.mail, so I did… but the link does not work🙄
Try and tell me😉
I cuurently have 44.07.33.32-NAC-r0
If I take the first numbers (44.07) then I suppose thos is a newer file than the one recomended for installation that startsæts with 44.06

My car is the 1.6 puretech 180, I wonder if there is any way I could brick the infotainment system and, do I need to update the system in order for it to accept the map update. You see, everything seems to be working ok but the map is out of date as far as the myds app is concerned.

There’s always a way for Stellantis to brick our cars.
Kidding aside, I’ve done several updates myself, both system and maps, and so far I haven’t had much issue (2020 E-tense).
And I don’t think you need to update the system in order to update the maps. So just trying to update the maps sounds like a good path for you.
My best advice in general is just don’t do both at the same time on the same usb stick.

Do you have the laptop software “DS Update”?
It sounds strange that it would recommend an update that is older than what you already have,

I’m not sure what you mean? My maps on the system show 2020, is the update an old version? I am only going by what the myds app says that both operating system and map updates are possible. Can you tell from their build numbers?

Oh, sorry, was your message for John? In which case I could go ahead with maps and see what happens… yes?

Its myDS app that it has two uppdates.
I cant download it anyway, because the links they send does not lead anywhere😏

Where did you get the updates from? From myds app and the link… or some other way?

The updates were online, I used the myds app “send the download linkby email”. I then accessed my email on my windows desktop, it then walked me through the steps and it downloaded to my pc, then I believe it formats your memory stick (min of 32gb) and loads it with the downloaded file/s. I don’t have a 32gb or larger stick so I’m stuck for now.

Good to hear your link functioned:slightly_smiling_face: my link leads me to "page can not be found"

Hi jay, I am now suspicious that the map update 16.0.0-r0 is old! Do you think it is too? I’m not too tech savvy but forums show it is older than what I could get. The myds app only shows this version as an update. So I wouldn’t know how to find a better update. Thanks.

According to my searches there should be at least a v17 for the maps.
For the system it should be 44.07.XX.

I haven’t verified it in my car though but I’ll try to remember to check later today.

Also just wanted to add that DS Update doesn’t necessarily show the newest version that exists – it shows the newest version released for your VIN.

There are newer versions out there (44.07 / v17 maps), but not everyone gets them.

So yes – 44.06 and v16 can be “latest” for your car.

I’ve sent you a msg.

0k thanks, I shall try to access a v17 map update should I find it. Much appeciated.

V17 maps is a fake. There are no such maps, so you have nothing to look for. Current maps are v16.

v17 does exist and has been installed on NAC Wave 4 systems, but it’s not consistently distributed via DS Update.

For most users (including DS7), v16 is still the latest version officially offered, which is why many assume v17 doesn’t exist.

V17 maps briefly appeared in the app, but that was a system error. V17 in the DS_update app were the same maps as V16. This was the second such error in the app.

I can buy that explanation.
Thanks for clearing it up!
