Just was informed in the DS service that they will change my traction battery. Anyone else with more info about it?
Official recall info: Safety Gate: the EU rapid alert system for dangerous non-food products
Hmm… my car got its traction battery replaced last December.
This looks like a new report?
My VIN is in the series. Maybe I should send this to my dealer.
Does the DS4 E Tense use this battery ?
I got also info in the My DS app. Maybe you should check there first.
Found affected models:
Peugeot 3008 V2, 508 V2
Citroën C5 Aircross
Opel Grandland X
DS7
No. Yours is 12,44kWh 305V. In DS7 is 13,2kWh 348V. Both LG Chem.
Do you know who is supplier of whole battery pack?
Seems like lg batteries always have issues with recall. But this could be good news? Meaning will get new fresh better batteries
My app says nothing. But if i check the VIN for callback i get a persistent error when i try to look it up. I got the [VIN CENSORED]**** vin so i think i migjt be affected. Im based in the netherlands.
How did you guys receive the notification?
i am in UK but also no notification in app etc.
the original link says “Notifying country
France” so maybe only France has recall plus countries: “Hungary
Luxembourg
Slovenia” as per the EU safety page
You have to wait a while and maybe the UK and others will “join” in. The case is still ongoing.
I wouldnt rely on the app for info, it’s useless.
Agree. I have contacted a DS dealer here in NL and theysaid nothing about a recall. My DS is however imported from france so i took the liberty of checking my VIN on the french ds website. Also no recall or issues.
I am a bit confused now cause my vin does meet the range given in the EU statement…
I have sent an email to DS …waiting on a reply
My shop also said they had no recall for my car, and same as you it also fits with the VIN interval.
I’m thinking maybe not all countries (general agents) gets order of the recall at the same time.
The VIN number alone may not be enough because there is also a condition:
e2 * 2007 / 46 * 0601 * 07 - e2 * 2007 / 46 * 0601 * 09
e2 * 2007 / 46 * 0601 * 11 - e2 * 2007 / 46 * 0601 * 17
Generally they do this: To resolve this issue, we will either re-install the BMS (battery management system) software or replace the high-voltage battery (depending on the type of fault identified).
GK8 is the second recall. First one on the same topic was JQD 04/04/2023.
If they’re changing the TBMU software, I’d skip this recall. This is a potential problem for the future because it reduces the traction battery voltage tolerance. This results in an electric drive failure, and only replacing the traction battery with a new one solves the problem.
I had my car checked today and they told they will have to change the traction battery and that I shouldn’t charge the car anymore before they have changed it.
e22007/460601*09
the list here seem to have expanded.
It now includes: Germany
Hungary
Ireland
Luxembourg
Norway
Sweden
Slovenia
Slovakia
But I am in the UK - since not in EU - i wonder if UK will get it. i kinda want to change battery
I’m based in the Netherlands, and I received a letter from the DS/Stellantis HQ to take my DS7 to the dealership because of the same recall. I took it to the dealership yesterday and they told me that they need to replace the traction battery.
Downside is that they told me that I have to wait for about a month for the new battery to get here. On the upside, I’m getting a new battery ![]()
