I’m now on my 4th new handle, all changed under warranty.
Known DS issue.
Yet no recall.
Dealership told me its cheaper for DS to just change them on an individual basis rather than do a full recall.
Theres a thread on here showing how to get access to the mechanism and carry out a DIY repair.
Basically it’s down to water ingress getting inside the mechanism.

The black, in my opinion looks far better.
Chrome is a bit 1980’s .
But thats just my opinion.

The wrapping only covers the chrome, the back of the handle,which is already black is not wrapped.
Thanks mate. Looks good, tried to wrap them myself today but couldn’t manage the pointy bit at the front of the handle. Time to contact a pro.
When mine was were done I watched him do it , he made it look so easy.
He did say you have to use the right thickness wrap, not too thick for delicate wrapping.
I think he started at the pointy bit ?

I used a company called Hansign.
They do all sorts of wrapping.
But any decent wrapper could do your handles.

The DS 4 E tense has satin black lettering on the rear as standard, theres no chrome on the front as standard.
There are two small DS lettering on the rear door pillars but I’m ok with those.
I didnt want to de chrome the square exhaust outlets as I thought it looked a bit too much black on the rear ?
But I might change my mind in the furture.
It was the handles that I thought “aged” the car.
I cant understand how DS can style a car that has unique modern looks but then spoil it by putting chrome handles ?
They put satin black lettering as standard on the rear, but then add chrome handles with no chrome on the front 
You dont see many modern looking cars these days with chrome features.
Years ago we would be paying to have chrome as an optional extra, these days we pay to get rid of it 
You forgot to add that only in the “Performance” version. The other versions have chrome everywhere: rear, front, lower sides, and roof edge. This ruins DS4.

Think it depends on the colour of the car - the chrome handles on my copper-gold DS4 (which is a Cross Rivoli) look fine and along with the other small bits of chrome on the front and chrome DS badges front and rear which all create some interest.
Copper-Gold body with black gloss handles would look stunning, especially if you have the black roof.
If i was going for a full wrap i think it would be british racing green with gold features
Theres some stunning cars been wrapped at the place I had my handles done.
Its crazy though you do not have to inform the DVLA if you have your car fully wrapped in a totally different colour but you do if you paint it.
Apparently as long as you leave a visible 2 inch square of the original colour showing anywhere on the car, such as under the bonnet or in the boot, it’s legal.
I am sure somebody who is better with ChatGTP / Co-pilot could generate something better. Its not even got the pop out handles correct. The green looks good, but the gold would need to be toned down (or made black!).
