New maps and software version

Hey guys. Did you receive any new updates for maps or software recently? I didn’t get anything from November 2024,and it looks odd to me.
Maps are on version 17.0.0-r0
Software on 44.07.33.32_NAC-r0

I have 2019 DS7 Crossback.

There’s nothing new. We’ll just have to wait.

Before they updated things more often

My last update for ds4 was in may 2024

It’s probably questionable if they will continue supporting updates for older vehicles.

They no longer support new maps for RT6/SMEG and NAC Wave2.
NAC Wave4 (DS7 prelift) appears to be supported once a year, but for how long is unknown.
Currently, only IVI (DS7 lift, DS4) is supported a few times a year.

Connect DS4 to Wi-Fi and it will happen more often. I’ve had a few this year.

Thanks Andrew

I connect to my phone hotspot but nothing major, no pop ups etc. I just noticed that same new games are added secretly and changes in menu how to purchase connected services. But no actual software updates

In IVI updates don’t happen (if happen) over Wi-Fi only via 2/3/4G network (OTA). Maps are only updated this way. 10-15 GB of data transfer is required for all maps and more then one hour. Go to the navigation menu → settings → right tab → maps → Europe → list of installed maps. Are all of the listed maps “up to date” when you gives router on the phone? Map updates also work when the car is “resting,” but it’s within range of any saved Wi-Fi network. That’s why we’re not always aware of it.

The availability of ivi software update, etc., depends on hidden settings. What you see in the IVI menu is only one option, and it concerns allowing OTA updates. This doesn’t mean they will be available.

It has now been eighteen months without a single map update for the DS7. It is deeply disappointing that a major European manufacturer such as Stellantis would allow such a lapse in customer care. It should come as no surprise, then, that many drivers are turning to Chinese brands, where—setting price aside—the standard of service is, at present, markedly higher. Issues with parts availability and servicing will inevitably be resolved within a year or two. By that time, the DS7 may well be a model spoken of primarily in Chinese.

For example, the Omoda 5 doesn’t have its own navigation system; it uses the phone’s AA or CP, while the MG HS updates maps via USB using a program similar to DS_update.
Read up on other brands’ forums about map updates and quality, as there are problems everywhere.

Hi all, we have just bought a DS 7 Crossback from 2021. Really looking forward to enjoy it, but also see many issues/challenges in this forum unfortunately . After about 10 times I managed to get the ‘DS Update’ app on my Mac to finalise the process and deliver the files on the USB stick. It now directs to this non existing URL: https://www.dsautomobiles.nl/content/dam/ds/netherlands/local-content/user-manuals/Notice-MAJ-NAC-NL.pdf for the tutorial how to proceed with the USB in the car.
Does any of you have that ‘Notice-MAJ-NAC-NL.pdf’ document? or in any other language? Or otherwise can schare the steps to take to install it in the car?

These are the updates downloaded, hopefully the right ones..

  • Software van het touchscreen (44.07.33.32_NAC-r0)
  • Kaartgegevens (17.0.0-r0)

Welcome @pmwesterhout
It is recommended to prepare maps and software separately, and not all files (software + maps) on one pendrive.
Simply insert the pendrive (reconned 16GB, FAT32) created with DS_update into your car’s USB port. Start the engine and accept the on-screen commands. If nothing appears, it means the pendrive is bad. Try a different one.
The entire map update process takes about 1 hour. Soft takes the same amount of time. The engine must be running.

Thanks, @Andrew_PL, I will try it this way.

Due to the DS UPdate process I had both fils on the USB drive. It kicked off with the system update first that went correct, so very happy about that. The map update gave an error however, but not that needed as I will probably use Waze via Carplay.
